Short Bio
Gabriel McDerment is a Singer/Songwriter, performer, composer, and producer from Bradenton, FL. He is a member of the American Society of Composers, Authors, and Publishers (ASCAP), The American Composer’s Forum (ACF), and the Society for Electro-Acoustic Music in the United States (SEAMUS). He specializes in writing everything from pop music to classical. He plays 7 instruments, specializing in the piano and cello. He was most recently programmed at IUIPI's Donald L. Tavel Center for Arts and Research's Earth Day Art Model on April 22, 2020. Gabriel is currently the President of the Braden River High School Key Club. Last year, he served as the Major Emphasis Director for the club, co-leading the project Dance Marathon at BRHS, which raised $5,145.90 for the NICU at Johns Hopkins Children’s Miracle Network All Children’s Hospital in St. Petersburg, Florida. He also organized and presided over Students for Rohingya Aid (crowdrise.com/s4rh), an official UNICEF fundraiser raising awareness and money for the victims of the Rohingya genocide in Myanmar.
