“Bowing to the Roaring Storm…” was inspired by a trip I made to Muir Woods in the summer of 2014. I was visiting my friend Michelle Elder and she mentioned that we could go hiking and see the giant redwoods, and that ended up being one of the most incredible experiences of my life. In this piece I attempt to recreate the sounds, mood and ethereal soundscape that echoes throughout the woods.

This piece is dedicated with love to Michelle Elder.
