Recording

This piece was created as a project for 2 classes I was taking in the Spring 2017 semester; a films class and music tech. I used it as a score for my film project. I took the challenge to create it using only my phone, recording everything using the built-in microphone and using Garageband to compile everything. The instrumentation is relatively clear, but the percussion sounds are actually the recordings of old pianos in practice rooms of my university; some of the pianos had loose pedals and springs and broken keys so I created short clips of these to create a percussive element similar to a clock.
